In GeologXL your data can be coordinated using pegs or beacons and the using tapes to measure off the coordinates.
One can place a tape based on known points. One can the set the tape as active, allowing it to be used to coordinate points relative to it. Tapes can have ties and can be based on other tapes allowing coordination when straight line access is not feasible like in underground mines where pillars come in the way etcetera.
Pegs or beacons can be loaded into your data set and searched for orientation when capturing data.
